Big update! Sound effects, bug fixes, and more
In only 6 weeks, Six-Sided Streets has become my most-played game by far, with over 30,000 plays! That's just incredible, and it's been thrilling to read all of your positive feedback in the comments. Thank you so much!
Updates
I've revisited the game and added some things that I didn't have time for during the game jam. Most importantly, sound effects are finally here! Second most importantly, ports no longer look weird at the end of the game!
Full change list:
- Added sound effects and ambience
- Individual ports will now disappear if not attached to a hex at the end of the game
- Fixed a bug where the game could end before all the points had been tallied up
- Added new transitions between menu and gameplay
- Added the A and D keys as another piece rotation control option
- Slightly changed the tile deck composition
- Removed the mysterious black square from the top left corner of the title screen
Source Code
Did you know that this game is open-source? The source code can be found here if you'd like to see how it works and make your own changes.
Discord
If you'd like to chat with me about this game, or games/gamedev in general, I also have a (very small) Discord server! Please do come in, take a seat, pardon the mess, it's a pleasure to have you.

How do I save a game that I've started? Even when refreshing the page, my game is gone.
Thank you for the keyboard shortcuts :)
(and the awesome game, and the open-source code!)
Nice changes but maybe later add a way to disable sound effects. Already got used to play the game silent (had so many tries to do 120 score >_<).
